Process
STEP 1:
Before you begin your research, each group member needs to print and fill out the KW chart to discover what you already know and what you want to know more about the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. When completed, share KW charts with each other.
STEP 2:
Watch a short video about the Salem Witch Trials. As you watch the video keep in mind how it felt to live in Salem during this time period. If needed, write down observations and thoughts on the back of your KW chart.
STEP 3:
Print out the Salem Witch Trials Research Packet. Under the Resources page you will find links about the Salem Witch Trials. Click on each link and complete the worksheet.
CHECKPOINT:
The teacher needs to review your KW chart and information researched before moving on to the next step. Afterwards, the teacher will provide you with a list of important people.
STEP 4:
From the provided list of important people, choose a person to research.
STEP 5:
Under the Resources page you will find the names of important people. Find the name of the person you chose to research about and print out the worksheet found under the name. As you navigate through the websites answer questions on the worksheet.
CHECKPOINT:
Check with the teacher to ensure the correct information is written.
STEP 6:
Pretend you are the person you researched. Write a paragraph containing at least 8 sentences about how that person may have felt during the Salem Witch Trials of 1692.
STEP 7:
Share your findings and paragraph with your group members.
STEP 8:
After the teacher model's the Storyboard requirements, based on your group's research and thoughts develop a Storyboard in a WORD document. This will later help with the writing process in developing a script. If needed you can view the Storyboard Tutorial .

Using your Storyboard and Script requirements, create a script.
